The game called Dead Island!

On January,26/12 Friday after school Kyle was playing his xbox. He didn't play it that much cause he liked to go outside and hang out with his friends. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, on Friday after dinner he was with his friends. They usually talked about call of duty modern warfare 3 but today all of his friends were talking about a game called dead island, Kyle didn't know what is was so he asked his friend Josh what it was about. THe first thing his friend you don't have dead island, you do quests for people, fight zombies with melee weapons and guns, and when you finish the quest and go back to the person that gave it to you they give you money, experience and a weapon. It's so fun Josh said and as Josh went on talking about the game Kyle wasn't listening he just wanted to get that game. So he told all his friends he would talk to them later.


On the way home all Kyle could think about was dead island and what he would do. The thing he said in his mind was I'm gonna do all the quest for that game and fight all the zombies along the way for experience. But Kyle forgot that he would have to do one thing first get his parents to get it for him. So when he got home at 6:30 he asked he dad beggingly if he would get him the game. His dad said yes but were are you gonna get the money from. Kyle knew his dad would say yes he never did say no to Kyle usually. So Kyle said that he would trade in one of his games to get it. So about 9:00 Kyle and his dad got back from the store to get the game. His dad said to him don't stay up all night but Kyle wasn't listening. Kyle imediatly went up stairs and played, he was talking to Kyle all night until 4:00 when Myles dad walked in and pulled the plug on Kyle's xbox, Kyle was furious but he went to bed. When Kyle woke up in the morning he went straight on his xbox, it was about 9:00 but Kyle didn't care. E was playing by himself he past the level of all his friends.


Kyle's dad came up the stairs and told him o get off the xbox, but Kyle gave him an angry stare and said NO!!!! Kyle's dad was shocked and grabbed Kyle's xbox aqnd said he's taking it away for a month. Kyle's only words were I'm runnig away you never let me do what I want, but even Kyle knew that was a lie. But Kyle's dad said know you won't and locked the xbox in his room. Kyle slammed the door and was passing he grabbed his back pack put some cloths in his bag grabbed his wallet and started to climb out his window his decided to leave a note that said I might never come back! So Kyle ran off thinking that he would be ok. Meanwhile Kyle's dad walked up to his room and the door and said Kyle I'm sorry, but he noticed that Kyle wasn't there. So he ran into his car drove down the street and saw Kyle and he said I'm sorry Kyle just looked with a blank stare.

Some things that would make a good podcast are Good quality for the audio, good intro and exit music, no static or distracting sounds in the background, good microphone, and a subject to keep the listener interested.

There are so many different things in photagraphy like,camera angle is say eye level or chest level so we only get to see different parts of the person. Lighting is put into the picture to make us view the person in different ways. Proximity is say close up or medium long range, it's how far the camera is from the subject.I think that the author wants us to view this person as tough and brave. I think that they also want us to see that this man is in the military and willing to fight for us.

Some of the angles used in this picture are nose level, that is because the author wants us to see the persons face. The lighting in this picture is Coming from the front and the right side of the picture so we could see different parts of him clearly. The proximity used in this photo is close up so we could only see the face and the chest. Some of the props in that are used in the picture are a hand grenade, war medals and the stars on his collar. I noticed that he is also in his military suit. The light in this picture is sufficient so we can see the props clearly. Also notice that the picture is in black and white to indicate that war is not a good thing. I also noticed that in the backround there is some smoke I don't know what that means though.

This picture does not make me have really any feeling towards it. But the person in the picture doesent look to happy but that is because he is a soldier of war, and war is never happy.

This advertisement is for the game Saints Row The Third it is a video game for different stations. The people who made it are Volition,THQ and Cyberfront. In this ad it shows you different things that you can do in the game like the wide variety of out fits and the different weapons you can get. When you play you have a choice of playing as a girl or a guy. It also shows that it is a fun game and that you can play with friends.


The persuaions of this game are fun,macho,sexy,wealth,celebrity,friends,humor,cartoon,celebrity and wealth. The persuasion that is the most dominant is macho everybody is carrying weapons, because right at the beginning the guy puts on a space suit and grabs a weapon, and starts shooting it at cars.

I think they use those persuasion techniques in this ad for this game because they show that you can customize your character, you can play with friends, you can cause destruction use weapons play as a girl and put her costumes also that you can do many things in this game. Like in the ad where the girl is picking what costume to use that would be the sexy persuasion, for macho the guy in the beginning picks a costume and grabs a gun also at the end there is a guy in a wrestler costume. For the friends persuasion at the end they are all walking together.for cartoon persuasion some of the parts in the trailer are animated etc.

I think that this advertisement is persuading because the first time I saw this ad I wanted to get this game I could play with my friends cause destruction to the city, and I could do it in style. So I conclude that ad is very persuasive and I recommend that you watch it!

The Winnipeg Humane Society

The Winnipeg Humane society is a place were animals are cared for. It is an animal pound but they don't put animals down which is the good thing cause some people might not care about animals but these people do. Animals may not be human but that doesn't give us a right to abuse them or put them down they have lives to.

The Winnipeg Humane Society is a place for animals. They take almost any types of animals in. WHS even drives around in a van and if they see stray animals they take them in. They provide animals with good nutrition and they have a small park built in the back of their building for the dogs and other animals to play in. They take the animals for walks to. If you want to adopt an animal they have separate rooms for you to bond with the animal a bit so you can find out if you want to adopt the animal.

Surprisingly to me that the "WHS does not receive government funding. We run on donations from customers only."(WHS,2011) But I think that the government should.The Winnipeg humane society has been here for a long time and it "was formalized in 1894 with the founding of the "Society for the prevention of Cruelty of women, children and animals."(INDEED,2011) That is good that they are about that.After a couple years "other agencies had been established to protect women and children, so the organizations focus shifted solely to animals."(INDEED,2011)I think that this was a good idea to do that.A couple of years ago the " WHS did a walk called paws in motion they raised over $16,009,01."(PawsInMotion,2011) An operation called"Craig street cats is entering a contract with The. Winnipeg Humane Society."(2008,CraigStreetCats)
